ਆਪੇ ਜਗਜੀਵਨੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
Aapae Jagajeevan Sukhadhaathaa Aapae Bakhas Milaaeae ||
आपे जगजीवनु सुखदाता आपे बखसि मिलाए ॥
The Lord Himself, the Life of the World, is the Giver of Peace. He Himself forgives, and unites with Himself.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਏ ਕਿਆ ਵੇਚਾਰੇ ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ ॥
Jeea Janth Eae Kiaa Vaechaarae Kiaa Ko Aakh Sunaaeae ||
जीअ जंत ए किआ वेचारे किआ को आखि सुणाए ॥
So what about all these poor beings and creatures? What can anyone say?

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਾਈ ਆਪੇ ਸੇਵ ਕਰਾਏ ॥੨॥
Guramukh Aapae Dhaee Vaddaaee Aapae Saev Karaaeae ||2||
गुरमुखि आपे देइ वडाई आपे सेव कराए ॥२॥
He Himself blesses the Gurmukh with glory. He Himself enjoins us to His Service. ||2||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਭਗਤਿਹੀਣੁ ਕਾਹੇ ਜਗਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Bhaaee Rae Bhagathiheen Kaahae Jag Aaeiaa ||
भाई रे भगतिहीणु काहे जगि आइआ ॥
O Siblings of Destiny: those who lack devotion-why have they even bothered to come into the world?

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ਨ ਕੀਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Poorae Gur Kee Saev N Keenee Birathhaa Janam Gavaaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
पूरे गुर की सेव न कीनी बिरथा जनमु गवाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
They do not serve the Perfect Guru; they waste away their lives in vain. ||1||Pause||

सिरीरागु महला ३ ॥
Siree Raag, Third Mehl:

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥
Guramukh Kirapaa Karae Bhagath Keejai Bin Gur Bhagath N Hoee ||
गुरमुखि क्रिपा करे भगति कीजै बिनु गुर भगति न होई ॥
By His Grace one becomes Gurmukh, worshipping the Lord with devotion. Without the Guru there is no devotional worship.

ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਬੂਝੈ ਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ ॥
Aapai Aap Milaaeae Boojhai Thaa Niramal Hovai Soee ||
आपै आपु मिलाए बूझै ता निरमलु होवै सोई ॥
Those whom He unites with Himself, understand and become pure.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥
Har Jeeo Saachaa Saachee Baanee Sabadh Milaavaa Hoee ||1||
हरि जीउ साचा साची बाणी सबदि मिलावा होई ॥१॥
The Dear Lord is True, and True is the Word of His Bani. Through the Shabad, we merge with Him. ||1||

ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੇ ਨਿਰਮਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
Naam Rathae Sae Niramalae Gur Kai Sehaj Subhaae ||
नामि रते से निरमले गुर कै सहजि सुभाइ ॥
Those who are attuned to the Naam are immaculate and pure; through the Guru, they obtain intuitive peace and poise.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਰਸਨਾ ਰਸਨ ਰਸਾਇ ॥
Man Than Raathaa Rang Sio Rasanaa Rasan Rasaae ||
मनु तनु राता रंग सिउ रसना रसन रसाइ ॥
Their minds and bodies are dyed in the Color of the Lord’s Love, and their tongues savor His Sublime Essence.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਛੋਡਿਆ ਲਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੪੭॥
Naanak Rang N Outharai Jo Har Dhhur Shhoddiaa Laae ||4||14||47||
नानक रंगु न उतरै जो हरि धुरि छोडिआ लाइ ॥४॥१४॥४७॥
O Nanak, that Primal Color which the Lord has applied, shall never fade away. ||4||14||47||

ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤੀ ਜਗੁ ਫਿਰੀ ਨਾ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਪੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥
Ho Ho Karathee Jag Firee Naa Dhhan Sanpai Naal ||
हउ हउ करती जगु फिरी ना धनु स्मपै नालि ॥
Practicing egotism, selfishness and conceit, she wanders around the world, but her wealth and property will not go with her.

ਅੰਧੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਈ ਸਭ ਬਾਧੀ ਜਮਕਾਲਿ ॥
Andhhee Naam N Chaethee Sabh Baadhhee Jamakaal ||
अंधी नामु न चेतई सभ बाधी जमकालि ॥
The spiritually blind do not even think of the Naam; they are all bound and gagged by the Messenger of Death.

ਸਤਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੩॥
Sathagur Miliai Dhhan Paaeiaa Har Naamaa Ridhai Samaal ||3||
सतगुरि मिलिऐ धनु पाइआ हरि नामा रिदै समालि ॥३॥
Meeting the True Guru, the wealth is obtained, contemplating the Name of the Lord in the heart. ||3||

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਫੇਰੁ ਪਇਆ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥
Lakh Chouraaseeh Faer Paeiaa Kaaman Dhoojai Bhaae ||
लख चउरासीह फेरु पइआ कामणि दूजै भाइ ॥
The soul-bride in love with duality goes around the wheel of reincarnation, through 8.4 million incarnations.

ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਦੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥
Bin Gur Needh N Aavee Dhukhee Rain Vihaae ||
बिनु गुर नीद न आवई दुखी रैणि विहाइ ॥
Without the Guru, she finds no sleep, and she passes her life-night in pain.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਪਿਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥੨॥
Bin Sabadhai Pir N Paaeeai Birathhaa Janam Gavaae ||2||
बिनु सबदै पिरु न पाईऐ बिरथा जनमु गवाइ ॥२॥
Without the Shabad, she does not find her Husband Lord, and her life wastes away in vain. ||2||
