ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲੁ ਪਸਾਰਿਆ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਚੋਗ ਬਣਾਇ ॥
Maaeiaa Jaal Pasaariaa Bheethar Chog Banaae ||
माइआ जालु पसारिआ भीतरि चोग बणाइ ॥
Maya has spread out her net, and in it, she has placed the bait.

ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਪੰਖੀ ਫਾਸਿਆ ਨਿਕਸੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ ਮਾਇ ॥
Thrisanaa Pankhee Faasiaa Nikas N Paaeae Maae ||
त्रिसना पंखी फासिआ निकसु न पाए माइ ॥
The bird of desire is caught, and cannot find any escape, O my mother.

ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਣਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
Jin Keethaa Thisehi N Jaanee Fir Fir Aavai Jaae ||3||
जिनि कीता तिसहि न जाणई फिरि फिरि आवै जाइ ॥३॥
One who does not know the Lord who created him, comes and goes in reincarnation over and over again. ||3||
