ਕਪੜਿ ਭੋਗਿ ਲਪਟਾਇਆ ਸੁਇਨਾ ਰੁਪਾ ਖਾਕੁ ॥
Kaparr Bhog Lapattaaeiaa Sueinaa Rupaa Khaak ||
कपड़ि भोगि लपटाइआ सुइना रुपा खाकु ॥
People are entangled in the enjoyment of fine clothes, but gold and silver are only dust.
ਹੈਵਰ ਗੈਵਰ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੇ ਕੀਏ ਰਥ ਅਥਾਕ ॥
Haivar Gaivar Bahu Rangae Keeeae Rathh Athhaak ||
हैवर गैवर बहु रंगे कीए रथ अथाक ॥
They acquire beautiful horses and elephants, and ornate carriages of many kinds.
