ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੋ ਜੇ ਦੇਵੈ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥
Raam Naam Dhhan Niramalo Jae Dhaevai Dhaevanehaar ||
राम नामु धनु निरमलो जे देवै देवणहारु ॥
The Lord’s Name is the pure wealth; it is given only by the Giver.

ਆਗੈ ਪੂਛ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਬੇਲੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥
Aagai Pooshh N Hovee Jis Baelee Gur Karathaar ||
आगै पूछ न होवई जिसु बेली गुरु करतारु ॥
One who has the Guru, the Creator, as his Friend, shall not be questioned hereafter.

ਆਪਿ ਛਡਾਏ ਛੁਟੀਐ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੨॥
Aap Shhaddaaeae Shhutteeai Aapae Bakhasanehaar ||2||
आपि छडाए छुटीऐ आपे बखसणहारु ॥२॥
He Himself delivers those who are delivered. He Himself is the Forgiver. ||2||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
Bhaaee Rae Than Dhhan Saathh N Hoe ||
भाई रे तनु धनु साथि न होइ ॥
O Siblings of Destiny, this body and wealth shall not go along with you.

ਕਰਿ ਮਨ ਖੁਸੀ ਉਸਾਰਿਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਹੇਤਿ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥
Kar Man Khusee Ousaariaa Dhoojai Haeth Piaar ||
करि मन खुसी उसारिआ दूजै हेति पिआरि ॥
They were constructed to give pleasure to the mind, but this is only for the sake of the love of duality.

ਅੰਦਰੁ ਖਾਲੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਢਹਿ ਢੇਰੀ ਤਨੁ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥
Andhar Khaalee Praem Bin Dtehi Dtaeree Than Shhaar ||1||
अंदरु खाली प्रेम बिनु ढहि ढेरी तनु छारु ॥१॥
The inner being is empty without love. The body shall crumble into a heap of ashes. ||1||

ਚਿਤੇ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਧਉਲਹਰ ਬਗੇ ਬੰਕ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
Chithae Dhisehi Dhhoulehar Bagae Bank Dhuaar ||
चिते दिसहि धउलहर बगे बंक दुआर ॥
There are painted mansions to behold, white-washed, with beautiful doors;

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਾਜੈ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥
Ghatt Ghatt Vaajai Kinguree Anadhin Sabadh Subhaae ||
घटि घटि वाजै किंगुरी अनदिनु सबदि सुभाइ ॥
In each and every heart the Music of the Lord’s Flute vibrates, night and day, with sublime love for the Shabad.

ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕਉ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਸਮਝਾਇ ॥
Viralae Ko Sojhee Pee Guramukh Man Samajhaae ||
विरले कउ सोझी पई गुरमुखि मनु समझाइ ॥
Only those few who become Gurmukh understand this by instructing their minds.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਛੂਟੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਕਮਾਇ ॥੮॥੧੪॥
Naanak Naam N Veesarai Shhoottai Sabadh Kamaae ||8||14||
नानक नामु न वीसरै छूटै सबदु कमाइ ॥८॥१४॥
O Nanak, do not forget the Naam. Practicing the Shabad you shall be saved. ||8||14||

ਸਾਧੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨੈ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਵਸੈ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਇ ॥
Saadhh Milai Saadhhoo Janai Santhokh Vasai Gur Bhaae ||
साधु मिलै साधू जनै संतोखु वसै गुर भाइ ॥
When one Holy person meets another Holy person, they abide in contentment, through the Love of the Guru.

ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਐ ਜੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥
Akathh Kathhaa Veechaareeai Jae Sathigur Maahi Samaae ||
अकथ कथा वीचारीऐ जे सतिगुर माहि समाइ ॥
They contemplate the Unspoken Speech, merging in absorption in the True Guru.

ਪੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖਿਆ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪੈਧਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੭॥
Pee Anmrith Santhokhiaa Dharagehi Paidhhaa Jaae ||7||
पी अम्रितु संतोखिआ दरगहि पैधा जाइ ॥७॥
Drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, they are contented; they go to the Court of the Lord in robes of honor. ||7||
