ਹੁਕਮੁ ਚਲਾਏ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਹੋਇ ਵਰਤੈ ਅਫਰਿਆ ॥
Hukam Chalaaeae Nisang Hoe Varathai Afariaa ||
हुकमु चलाए निसंग होइ वरतै अफरिआ ॥
They issue their commands fearlessly, and act in pride.

ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਲਇਓਨੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਖਾਕੁ ਰਲਿਆ ॥੩॥
Sabh Ko Vasagath Kar Laeioun Bin Naavai Khaak Raliaa ||3||
सभु को वसगति करि लइओनु बिनु नावै खाकु रलिआ ॥३॥
They subdue all under their command, but without the Name, they are reduced to dust. ||3||

ਜੇਤੇ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਾ ਤੇਤੇ ਭਵਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
Jaethae Thhaan Thhanantharaa Thaethae Bhav Aaeiaa ||
जेते थान थनंतरा तेते भवि आइआ ॥
There are so many places-I have wandered through them all.

ਧਨ ਪਾਤੀ ਵਡ ਭੂਮੀਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ॥੨॥
Dhhan Paathee Vadd Bhoomeeaa Maeree Maeree Kar Pariaa ||2||
धन पाती वड भूमीआ मेरी मेरी करि परिआ ॥२॥
The masters of wealth and the great land-lords have fallen, crying out, “”This is mine! This is mine!””||2||

ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
Bhaaee Rae Sukh Saadhhasang Paaeiaa ||
भाई रे सुखु साधसंगि पाइआ ॥
O Siblings of Destiny, peace is found in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਲਿਖਿਆ ਲੇਖੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਬਿਧਾਤੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਸਹਸਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
Likhiaa Laekh Thin Purakh Bidhhaathai Dhukh Sehasaa Mitt Gaeiaa ||1|| Rehaao ||
लिखिआ लेखु तिनि पुरखि बिधातै दुखु सहसा मिटि गइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
If the Supreme Lord, the Architect of Destiny, writes such an order, then anguish and anxiety are erased. ||1||Pause||

सिरीरागु महला ५ ॥
Siree Raag, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਨਿ ਬਿਲਾਸੁ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੁ ਘਣਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਭੂਲਿ ਖੁਸੀਆ ॥
Man Bilaas Bahu Rang Ghanaa Dhrisatt Bhool Khuseeaa ||
मनि बिलासु बहु रंगु घणा द्रिसटि भूलि खुसीआ ॥
With the mind caught up in playful pleasures, involved in all sorts of amusements and sights that stagger the eyes, people are led astray.

ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰ ਬਾਦਿਸਾਹੀਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਹਸੇ ਪਰੀਆ ॥੧॥
Shhathradhhaar Baadhisaaheeaa Vich Sehasae Pareeaa ||1||
छत्रधार बादिसाहीआ विचि सहसे परीआ ॥१॥
The emperors sitting on their thrones are consumed by anxiety. ||1||

ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਦਰਿ ਫੇਰੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
Jo Har Jan Bhaavai So Karae Dhar Faer N Paavai Koe ||
जो हरि जन भावै सो करे दरि फेरु न पावै कोइ ॥
As the servant of the Lord wills, so does the Lord act. At the Lord’s Door, none of his requests are denied.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰਤਾ ਰੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੭੧॥
Naanak Rathaa Rang Har Sabh Jag Mehi Chaanan Hoe ||4||1||71||
नानक रता रंगि हरि सभ जग महि चानणु होइ ॥४॥१॥७१॥
Nanak is attuned to the Love of the Lord, whose Light pervades the entire Universe. ||4||1||71||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਇਕੋ ਸਜਣੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
Sathigur Purakh Milaaeiaa Eiko Sajan Soe ||
सतिगुरि पुरखि मिलाइआ इको सजणु सोइ ॥
The True Guru, the Primal Being, has led me to meet the One, my only Friend.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਆ ਮਾਣਸ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਇ ॥
Har Jan Kaa Raakhaa Eaek Hai Kiaa Maanas Houmai Roe ||
हरि जन का राखा एकु है किआ माणस हउमै रोइ ॥
The One is the Saving Grace of His humble servant. Why should the proud cry out in ego?
